Some pics from our time in Mexico at the Cutout Fest and our week in Tulum and Mexico City, which was a blast. We attended every lecture we possibly could and drank every drink we got our hands on. FH are heading out to Mexico this week to give a talk at the 3rd annual CutOut Fest in Queretaro. The festival will take place from the 10th to the 12th of Nov. which in total is more sun than my pasty white skin can handle. So if you’re in town look for the big red guy he’ll hopefully be giving out some tiny sketches and what not, so please feel free to come up and get some goodies. We’ll be showing some behind the scenes stuff as well as some work that has never been seen or ever will be seen again!

The list of amazing speakers include Theodore Ushev, David O’Reilly, Tokyo Plastic, Julia Pott, and sooo many more, so please see the entire schedule online.

FH kicked it in NY for a week and a half and soaked up all the goinz’ons.

First thing we did was hit up the New York Comic Con. This being our first “Con”,( that’s what kids in the know call it) we weren’t sure what to expect, but it was everything you think it would be…costumes, artists, books, toys, costumes. It was nuts.Then we hit up the Lincoln Center for the tenth anniversary of The Royal Tannenbaums. Keeping things in Comic Book perspective, Eric Anderson is the spitting image of Chris Ware.After that we roamed the streets, running into Bill Murray and more costumes.We hit up St.Anne’s Warheouse for Stop The Virgens and had our socks knocked off.On our last day we hit up the Museum of Moving Image to take in the Jim Henson exhibit. When security guards weren’t looking we snapped a few polaroids of these fellas.The last thing we saw in NY, was this creepy ol’Yoda puppet.Then we grabbed a cab and got the hell outta there.We’re heading back this week to check out the Pictoplasma NY conference where we’ll be checking out some of our favourite artists like Gary Taxali and Tim Biskup. More news coming up shortly….

We just flew back from New York last night and have tons of great things to show, but we wanted to get the ball rollin’ this week with our new poster and program cover for the tenth anniversary of Les Sommets Du Cinema D’Animation De Montreal which takes place annually around my brithday…COINCIDENCE?? This year it will run from the 1st to the 4th of December. Be sure to swing by and check out some of the best animated films around. We’ll update again when more things get announced, but in the meantime hit them up on facebook here.

Fh cooks up some sweet vizis for the new Prius V. Big ups to Matt Shipp and the whole gang over at Saatchi & Saatchi for all the hard work and help on the spot. They made eight in total, FH was responsible for the little bad boy right below my blabberin’. The other seven spots were put together by Head Gear, Common Good, & Polyester Studio. Check it out! We finally got around to editing together our in show graphics for the 2011 One Show Entertainment Awards. The sound design was knocked out of the park by Kyle Schember over at Subtractive Inc. To all the fine folks over there we just wanted to say thanks and we think you nailed it.

Also shout outs to Mary Warlick and Seth Calllaway and the whole One Show crew for all the hard work they put in and gettting us involved in the first place. It was a blast!
