Spectacle: The Music Video

Kiddos!

You might have remembered our post from a couple of weeks ago talking about Spectacle: The Music Video. We had the pleasure of attending the opening night festivities and it was as great as we could have imagined. The exhibit is spread across three floors of the Museum of Moving Images and packed with great props from some classic music videos of yesteryear, including stuff from Michel Gondry, Hammer and Tongs, Encyclopedia Pictura and Shynola! Our Spacious Thoughts video is featured among a bunch of other amazing music videos and can be seen in one of the many screens hanging on the walls. If you’ve got some time, we suggest you sit your bums down in the main theatre to check em’ all out in their glorious big screen. Seriously guys… all the videos look amazing.

Vevo did a great job of giving you all a sneak peek and interviewing some of the people involved in this great exhibit, including yours truly. Check’em both out below!:

Kids! We’ve got tons of links and news to throw your way in this post, so sit down in your comfy chair and have the dog bring your slippers, and get ready for a pile of FH goodness.
First up, we’re heading back to NY this week to take in Spectacle at the Museum of Moving Image. We’re super honoured to be a part of this historical examination of the music video and can’t thank Meg and Johnathan Wells enough for deciding to include us. It’s gonna be an amazing collection of art, props, videos and the like, so be sure to check it out. The show runs from April 3rd to June 16th. Here’s a quick blurb from the NY Times on the exhibit.

Then we’ll be sticking around for a few days working on a few lil’ projects. Getting them ready to unleash upon your innocent peepers. Here’s a sample of a short film we’ve had kicking around for ages but have never released.

Speaking of films, N.A.S.A: Spirit of Apollo Documentary is now available on all your different viewing platforms. Here’s the entire film in just 26 seconds.

What else have we got up our sleeves for you this Easter weekend? Howz about this unused macro test footage we shot for a feature film a few years back.

We’re gonna wrap up our week in NY with this years MoCCA Fest. Our man Khouri will be on hand selling his goods which you can glimpse over at his store.

Moving Stories Pt.1

Hey kids, a quick little somethin’ for ya’ before the weekend hits! It’s part of a bigger project overall, which will be released hopefully very soon. But in the meantime, you can check out this title animation for a series of Toyota sponsored short films or “Branded Entertainment” as the kids say. We finished this at the end of last summer but it’s finally making the rounds now… cuz we’re slow.

And in case you were wondering, “Hey FH! What would that look like in french?” Bam! Here’s a still.

Also a few months ago we posted the book plate for the pop up (see the Sep.27th post below) and here’s another hidden page within the book. Cuz we got egos.

So you may have noticed we’ve been MIA for a helluva long time, but that’s doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy…..actually it means we’ve been incredibly busy…and waaaayyy too lazy to update this blog. Although the kids in the know have been following our random posts on the facebookz and twitterzz and instagramzzzzz.

So what have we been up to? We can’t say. Sorry. Due to legal boring contracts and rights issues and blah blah blah… I bored myself halfway through that sentence. What I can say is that we have three new visual treats that are about to come out and that they were completed sometime ago and have just been sitting dormant in our archives collecting digidust. The good news is that all three should be coming out shortly, one each month for the next three months. So every few weeks something new will be coming your way.

In the meantime we’re heading to NY for Pictoplasma to check out all the goodies and steal everyone’s trade secrets.

Check it out y’all! One Show Entertainment in show graphics for the 2012 awards held at The Museum Of Flying in Santa Monica. The event was hosted by Mr. Morgan Spurlock. The One Club teamed us up with the sound wizards at Subtractive Inc. who were also responsible for last years killer audio for our 2011 OSE show graphics. Cat & Dog pencils…watch watch watch!
